This position travels to customer job sites locally and sometimes regionally to meet delivered product and execute a complete, professional installation of anywhere from a conference table or chair to hundreds of workstations.  Installer is crafty, diligent, and professional.  Sometimes may be asked to deliver product or disassemble standing workstations.

       Review job with Project Coordinator before starting job to understand the entire scope of project including:

        Customer preferred start and end times and options for afterhours work if necessary and available

        Conditions at job site for unloading, staging, and assembly

        Has proper tools and equipment

        Contact information of all parties involved:

        Additional installation crew members

        Truck driver/dispatcher

        Customer point of contact

        Arnold’s Project Coordinator



       Direct call to customer upon arrival at site to meet point of contact, gain access to worksite, and learn expectations for how to proceed

       Verify all product has arrived according to pull sheet and that pull sheet matches floor plan.  Pull sheets and install plans are included in the job packet that is shipped to every job and available prior to arrival upon request.



       Wear gloves at all times

       Do not smell like smoke or body odor

       Keep facial hair and beards trimmed to a reasonable length

       Remove ALL trash from premises and dispose appropriately

       Sweep/vacuum any leftover debris



     Handle product with care – do not drop, bump, bang, scratch, or rub against anything unnecessarily

     Determine condition of high trafficked areas for pre-existing damage

     According to D&I form:

        Masonite for floor

        Blankets/cardboard for elevator



       Punch-lists should be well-documented with pictures and legible notes, then sent to Project Coordinator, but only after everything has been staged and the punch items in question are verified 100%. 

       Finished pictures and a report of what happened during installation should be written and submitted to Project Coordinator


·         General mechanical skills and aptitude – especially with office furniture

·         Craftiness, creativeness, and on the job decision-making ability should obstacles arise

·         Good communication skills, verbal and written 

·         Ability to read construction blueprints and CAD installation drawings 

·         Demonstrated competence related to writing installation project and problem reports. 

·         Knowledgeable in the operation of warehouse equipment and lightweight tools (i.e., use of a forklift or pallet jack to move furniture; and lightweight tools to install or repair furniture)

·         Excellent customer service skills, conducting customer contact in a professional and courteous manner

·         Valid driver’s license – box truck experience preferred
